Hooked on Books Club
Based on guided reading level and chronological age, students will be assigned a highly engaging "just right book" to read. Club members will start the session with discussions of their novels. A comprehension lesson will be taught each session. Students will read independently. Club will end with writing about what students read in their reading journals.

Factors Math Club
Students will engage in enjoyable activities that will strengthen their math fact fluency at their own level. Games will be used often in Factors Math Club. Strategies will be taught to guarantee continued success.

The Write Club
Students follow the writing process to write personal narratives. Brainstorming, Planning, Drafting, Conferencing, Editing, Illustrating, and Publishing will be explicitly taught. After three narratives have been written, students will publish their favorite stories.

The Homework Club
Students will work on their homework during Homework Club. Instructor will help students solve problems associated with homework while making sure that students are fully engaged in their work. Organizational skills will be taught as needed.
